Title: A Disheartening Experience at Sunrise Family Health and Wellness
I am compelled to share my disheartening experience with Sunrise Family Health and Wellness, which has left me both disappointed and without a primary care provider during a crucial time. Having previously missed one appointment due to severe memory issues—a condition that I was upfront about and continuously seeking medial advice navigating—I was not only willing but also promptly paid the associated fee for my oversight after the first missed appointment.
Unfortunately, the understanding I hoped for was not extended in return. After missing a second appointment amidst the challenges of relocating back to Havasu and managing my health condition, Sunrise decided to cancel my client status permanently. Even after settling in Havasu full time, and despite my family’s ongoing relationship with the clinic, my request to re-establish care was flatly denied. I was informed that once a client is canceled for missed appointments, they are barred from returning—ever.
This policy seems unusually punitive, especially for someone grappling with medical issues that directly impact memory. It is ironic and rather disconcerting that a health facility would choose a rigid adherence to protocol over accommodating a patient’s genuine health challenges.
I believe that medical care should be accessible and adaptive to all, particularly to those facing significant health hurdles. If a healthcare provider is inflexible to the point of excluding patients who are earnestly struggling with health issues, it raises a question about their commitment to patient care and support.
For those seeking a family health and wellness clinic, particularly individuals dealing with conditions that might affect their ability to adhere strictly to appointment schedules, I regretfully suggest looking elsewhere. Sunrise Family Health and Wellness, in my experience, may not be equipped to offer the understanding or flexibility necessary to support all aspects of patient health.
Update. After leaving this review I just received a call and several threats from the owner Tiarra. So very unprofessional
