My 98 year old father has received excellent and attentive care. The nurses, CNA's, therapists and case managers have gone out of their way to be helpful and compassionate. They have preserved his dignity and supported the family. We are very appreciative.

I mean the new LCCA PV.
From the front entry receptionist to the nursing staff and leaders, all were very positive. They have created a great team and health care experience.

I have wonderful things to say about Life Care Center of Paradise Valley. Having observed their services firsthand, I am impressed by the exceptional care they provide at this skilled nursing facility. The patient outcomes are remarkable, and the attention and care given to patients are evident.

Special recognition goes to the administrator, Brenda, who is dedicated to assembling a team that consistently delivers excellent care. Daniel in the admissions team is also extremely helpful, readily answering any questions about the facility.

If you're seeking outstanding care for your loved one, I highly recommend Life Care Center of Paradise Valley.

My 80 year old dwarf brother was in this facility from June 2-July 15, 2024 ..
We chose this facility because they had short-term and long-term care, and our brother would need 24/7 care since having multiple strokes in May which left him paralyzed on the right side , limited speech, had to wear diapers now and could not feed himself.
The staff would bring his food in and lay it on his tray and walk out and come back about an hour later when they knew he could not feed himself, another issue is they only check the diaper every four or five hours and if you push the call button for help, it takes 30 minutes before they get there. Another issue being that when they put him in a wheelchair they did not strap him in and he fell out When giving him a shower, they didn’t test the water first stuck them in there and burned him. Robin was the physical therapist, which would scream and call him names like Pinocchio and tell him that he could do things with his body if he just tried and not to be a quitter.
The case manager, Rochelle was not helpful at all. She told me that I needed to find another place for my brother and when I asked, could she make suggestions she give me a business card of a Chad who was not very helpful at all. My sister and I found a new group home for him that we moved him to on July 15 .. The care that the staff gives the residence is horrible. The food they serve the patients was not fit to eat.
They seem to be very understaffed and really don’t care to help people.
The Admission Director Daniel told me to put my brother in a shelter until his ahcccs was approved then we could take him back their..
If you care for your loved ones don’t put them here.

My mother had an excellent experience at Life Care of Paradise Valley when she was there recovering from a broken femur. The staff was consistently supportive and caring from housekeeping, maintenance and food service to rehab, CNA’s nurses, attending doc and the administration. (My mother suffered the femur break when she was dropped at a highly rated SNF in North Scottsdale. There we found the communication and general attitude of health care staff to be less positive and much less attentive. At the age 95 attention to potential medical issues is very important. We found Life Care of Paradise Valley to be a very good experience.

My grandma recently stayed at Life Care Center Of Paradise Valley for 2 weeks while my mom went on vacation ! I would like to give a BIG thanks to her CNA Darlene! Darlene is the sweetest woman I’ve ever met, I visited daily and every single day Darlene would see me she would come update me on how my grandma ate, slept, & used the restroom. Both my face and my grandmas would light up the second Darlene entered the room. She was SO patient and kind to both my grandma and myself for the entire time my grandma was at life care center. She made sure she was clean, comfortable and happy at all times. Darlene is one of the best CNAS IVE EVER COME ACROSS IN A RETIREMENT HOME. She took her time while changing my grandma , applied ointment when needed, and talked her through everything to keep her calm, she was so gentle with transfers & informative when I had any questions ! She was such a blessing to have caring for my grandma and to chit chat with every day! I could go on and on about all of the positive things that her CNA Darlene did for her during her stay. Thank you so much for loving and caring for my grandma & for the joy that you brought to me personally during our talks and story’s we exchanged about care for my grandma and about life in general!

Staff are unprofessional. Night shift short staffed it appears which elad to safety concerns. CNAs talking loudly & negatively about patients in pibli desk space "what IS room xx's problem " . Staff not monitoring patients. Elderly wheelchair bound lady stuck in hallway stated she was unable to get into bed. Looking through her door I see the furniture and items blocking it. Staff making rounds to check vigal signs and should have assisted her. Another patient helped her after waiting an hour.
Elderly man in hallway needed help shouted for Staff. No response. Again another patient assisted him. Patients not *allowed* to shower more than once a week. Regardless if they are able to without staff assistance or not.
My friend patient I visited was denied a prescription medication at random one night by overnight CNA. No reason given. Patient asked her to call her supervisor or doctor. CNA gave attitude and did not nor did CNA report / document. I believe a plain clothed supervisor should visit amd observe and re train staff. The facility itself is clean and has decent food and activities for patients
