The Village at Cook Springs will never lay a hand on my father ever again. They failed to give him all of the medicine that I sent over there and is on his chart that he's supposed to get. They didn't give him his breathing treatments. And they didn't give him all of his nerve pills for his trigeminal neuralgia. And I'm still going through his medicine to find out what's left that they didn't give him all of. Oh and they didn't give him his antibiotics for his UTI. But at the end of the week I get a call that he's in the hospital and the emergency room with the flu. Well I wonder why. If you care about your loved one do not send them to this so-called nursing home. They don't follow the medicine plan. And I understand that nurses are overworked and there's too many patients per nurse. I've Got Friends in the nursing field. And they complained about how hard it is. But they did their job and they did a good job. So why patients are being neglected at this place I don't know. One last thing, the rooms and the floors are dirty. So if you're looking for some place that is clean, this is not the place. And it fools you because when you come in the front it looks like a nice place.

If you have a friend or family member who has been placed at Cook Springs Nursing Home, check on them daily!!!! My sister and I removed Mom this morning. They had to be told to empty her catheter, would walk in and hand her pills to her and walk away, Mom would drop some and they were crushed by her wheel chair, 1st shift blames 3rd shift and vice versa. The Director vows this isn't a regular occurrence, though the Google reviews say otherwise. He assured me she wouldn't be neglected only for my sister to have to go in and change her bed sheets the very next day. This place is filled with incompetence from the top to the bottom! The issues I stated above are only a small portion of the myriad of issues.

I was there yesterday visiting some extended family who has been there for several years and it was a great atmosphere. When I arrived the Denise greeted me with a smile and showed me where to go. I saw Kim and she is always helpful and encouraging and patient focused. I also saw Jackson who knows his clients personally and communicates as such.

Thanks Cooks Springs for all you do to care for our elderly.

If I could leave a ZERO, I would. This place is HORRIBLE. Do not send to this place for rehab ,unless you want them to die. I have never seen such a bad place. The nurses do not give medicine timely, they don't clean the patients and they don't know what they are doing. Staff will even talk rudely to family members. Patients are in chairs in the hall urine soaked with black eyes and bruises due to falls and not getting adequate care. If you do use this place make sure you are checking on your loved ones daily.

I would find your loved one a different facility. It’s not very clean. I walked by nurses station and every single person was on their phone. But they tell my Dad they are too busy to help him. His room is dirty, used gloves on the floor, they say they have activities for residents, but refuse to assist them out of bed to go ANYWHERE. So all they do is lie in bed 24 hours a day. It’s so depressing. We are trying desperately to find him another place. My sister could not stop crying when she visited him there. He looks terrible. Shame on Administrators. Don’t be fooled by the Website. It’s all smoke and mirrors.

Update. My Dad died last March because of the lack of care here. We finally got him out and into another facility, but it was too late. The 2 months there literally killed him. Filing a lawsuit and have videos and photos to prove neglect. Horrible place.

I have been searching for a memory care facility and called multiple multiple times and left multiple messages for the director of marketing, Alexis, have not received a call back to discuss. Its so frustrating. After reading other reviews I guess she did me a favor.

I went here to visit my sister in law who was moved there for rehabilitation as soon as a got into the hall went residents stayed an sickening smell hit me (while wearing a mask) before I even reached her room I knew I would find her in worse condition I WAS RIGHT and I top of her condition I quickly noticed while her husband was feeding her that she choked on every bite I sent her husband to let the nurse know he came back disappointed and said she really didn’t seem to care So I went to the desk and kindly reminded her that if my sister in law is experiencing muscle issues and can’t not speak that there was I good chance that she was aspirating on her food Her response “All I can do is send her back to the hospital” my reply “Well don’t you think you should do what you need to do” ambulance arrived within an hr to transport her back to the hospital I WILL BE CALLING the ADMINISTRATOR in the AM! DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE the humane society smells better and the nurse I spoke with seemed to not care about her patients well being

My mother has dementia and was kick out of the memory care facility where she was at, so we temporarily moved her to my cousins farm where she kept falling and had to go to the hospital. While there we called Village at Cook Springs and they said they would evaluate her at the hospital, so I went to the hospital to meet them there, but nobody showed up. Instead they called and talked to one of the nurses and then tried to call my moms room to interview her, but my mom didn’t answer the call. Bottom line Village at Cook Springs said that my mom didn’t qualify.
