If I could, I would give them 0 stars. Please read other people’s reviews before going or sending your loved one here!! Even if you have someone go willingly wanting to get help, they will ignore them. They will go the whole day without seeing any doctors and will be ignored by staff. How is this place even allowed to be open. Mental health is so important and it’s so unfortunate places like this remain open when they don’t provide the support people actually need. It’s especially heart breaking knowing that these negative experiences can prevent someone for reaching out or asking for help in the future.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE, go to John Muir . You do not have to go only to county . They lied , they tricked us during a very difficult time. The social worker put stuff down that my child did not say. Refused to call her therapist back or communicate with the therapist. Purposely gave the hospital my child was transferred to the wrong number and made it seem like we didn’t sign voluntary forms . While talking to us went on tangent about liberals . We never brought up politics so it very uncomfortable. We filed a complaint with the board. But please do not take your child here.

EDIT July 12 2023: I have filed a complaint with the medical board. My complaint number is CA00850055. If you have witnessed the things I have, PLEASE file a complaint and reference my number. This place cannot continue to abuse their patients. Thank you in advance.

My real name is Kas, I sought help because I didn't feel safe at home, but I felt even LESS safe here. My house is mold ridden, falling apart, and me and my mom have intense mental and physical health issues to the point I've harmed myself, and STILL this facility is worse. All the reviews here are true- a majority of the staff are negligent, a girl went out of the dorm in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and they GAVE HER A SHOT TO SEDATE HER. SHE JUST NEEDED THE BATHROOM And there was this kid, 19 years old, he was heavily upset because he hadn't gotten his morning medication and they basically told him to be mature. "How old are you?!" "I'm 19!" "Then ACT 19!"
This is unacceptable behavior, the patients here do not have rights and I'm very lucky to have a loving mother willing to bail me out. I'm so sorry to the rest of the patients there; Sophia, Nicole, Gabby and everyone else I didn't get the pleasure of meeting, I hope you can leave soon. Take care as best you can

Hello my Name is Demilson and what people are saying is true I went to this Hospital 4time because my mental health problems got worse I was seeking help but they never help people they only medicate people and that make people having more mental health problems. This place is so bad that is not a place where they help is a place where u feel like a prisoner and I hope people get to know that this place is not the right place to go. They don’t help people with mental health problems. People get ignore and they don’t have compassion for anyone. Please be aware of this place and if you there you’ll see that is not a good place to visit. I guess mental health doesn’t matter to them. But I know metal health is very important and be careful going here.

I'm writing this review as someone that sat on this County's Mental Health commission. I've now had the joy of recently experiencing our mental health system as a consumer, and while I knew there were service gaps, understaffing and lack of training, the sheer atrocity that is CCPES opened my eyes to a problem that must be fixed. I was denied reasonable care and treated as less than a human during the lowest point in my life. My crisis was prolonged by the lack of care provided at this facility and I was (quite literally) ignored, for hours. I will be following up with local media to share my experience and I encourage those of you that have had a negative experience with this facility to share that experience with me or the media so light can be shined on this issue and changes put into place..

I stayed there because I was feeling suicidal this place made me want to kill myself even more if I’m being honest the staff was very negligent and didn’t care about the patients the food was horrible. They sedated so many patients unnecessarily it was awful. People had to sleep on the floor the people there who called them selves doctors didn’t really help you and basically just said “well don’t kill your self” and that was the end of the counseling. I would give 0 stars if I could

The social worker by the name of Adam is in a hurry to get rid of patients without proper treatment. Not willing to help connect them to proper resources for help. He doesn’t care about the patient or the families situations. He Also needs to learn how to speak properly to patients families….
