This review is long overdue. I worked with Affinity Placement in the Summer of this year. We were suddenly in a situation where I needed to quickly find care options for my father who had difficulty battling Covid. Kaiser referred me to Affinity and I'm so glad they did. Erica and her team were wonderful to work with. This was my first time trying to find senior care and Affinity walked me through the entire process, provided me with multiple options of varying costs, and were prompt to respond to any questions/concerns. On top of that, my dad's situation was a bit special case as he's only Cantonese speaking, yet Erica was able to find me very good options. Everything you would expect from a highly professional agency.

But what really amazed me and sets Erica and her team apart are how much they went above and beyond expectations. They were incredibly prompt in responding to me, even on nights and weekends (which I did not expect). They also made sure I was taken cared of emotionally. Dealing with end-of-life for a loved one is very difficult and Erica always offered up an empathetic and compassionate ear while providing great support. I always felt extremely cared for.

I highly recommend Affinity and plan to use them again when the need arises.

Erica was amazing. I was referred to her by my fathers social worker. She helped me quickly find the best placement for my dad. She made the process so easy and gave me great options. When my first choice fell through, she worked on my second choice and my dad moved in that day. My father needed emergency placement in order to ensure his safety. Erika supported us both through the transition. It was a great experience and I am happy to report my father is very happy where he is and his mental and physical health have improved since he was placed. I signed into my sister's account just so I could write this review for Affinity Placement and my experience working with Erica. I wanted to say how much we appreciated Erica's help with placing my grandmother in memory care. She was previously at an assisted living, but then was in the hospital. Kaiser wanted her out and we had no where for her to go (during stress of Covid and now extra memory help needed for her care). It was horribly stressful, but Erica stepped in with Kaiser and found us a new facility that is a great match for my grandmother. I can't say enough amazing things about her. Erica is beyond amazing !! She is truly an expert in placing patients in memory care and assisted living facilities. She also helps with obtaining caregivers within 24 hours of discharge from the hospital. I appreciate the good questions she ask, her input on dealing with complex patients, her rapid follow up, and ability to build rapport with anyone. My husband was admitted to Kaiser for Pneumonia infection, but he took a fall there and he fractured his pelvic. He is 93, though suffered from dementia, he was physically healthy and was using a walker. I was overwhelmed with what had happened and was in despair as how I could take care of him. Since he couldn’t go to a good rehab, I decided to take him home.The discharge was swift. We when home without any knowledge as what I can do. When I was in extreme despair, Erica Kolmeister, a senior care coordinator from Affinity Placement contacted me. At first I thought she was with Kaiser because she started helping me make the transition for the discharge to our home. E.g. After she learned that I didn’t have the complete equipment set for the hoyer lift, she took care of it without delay and I received the express delivery so I could immediately started helping my husband. She arranged the caregivers Kaiser promised to get them started working immediately. When one agency didn’t work out, she expressed her sympathy and concerns and helped me find the appropriate one the next day. Because of her, I started feeling hope and a big relief from all the bad experience I had since the admission to the hospital. She made things right the moment she contacted me. That was a breath of fresh air. I felt great about Kaiser again because of her. She talked to me with compassion. While I expressed to her my possible need to put my husband in a home since I might not be able to take care of him, it was that time I realized she was working for Affinity Placement and Care Solution. She then provided me resources in details, but she didn’t try to push me to do anything. I truly felt that she did her job from her heart which was to help whoever needed to find a home. She did her research and narrowed down the homes which might be what I was looking for. Once she sent me lots of good information, I didn’t hear from her much. I contacted her again and she expressed her pleasure of being able to be of any help to me. I knew she would be the exact person whom I can trust to find a right and good home if I need to because she didn’t sell anything but a simple support to a family who is in need. I feel so great knowing I can trust her and because of her, I can trust her company. If a company can have a worker like Erica, this company will be the perfect company for you to trust as well to find a home for your loved ones. Therefore I can’t help but want to write my experience and let others know about her and her company. You can trust her and, therefore, you can trust this company having the best interest if you and your love ones in heart when they do their business . Thank you Erica!!
