There are a few caring people who work here but it seems more of a learning / teaching facility. My father was here for a few weeks and they had no idea of what a proper diet looks like for a diabetic! His glucose levels were all over the place. While they are doing a lot to remodel the place it still a little run down. The new owners i guess think as long as the hallways look good the level of care shouldn't matter. While here my father contracted C Diff which is a highly contagious infection. My father had very loose bowel movements for weeks and I brought it up several times and they never looked into it. I must by a huge issue here, you can smell it as soon as you enter the facility!!! One night I came by and the staff was extremely loud, laughing and goofing around at the nursing station while the patients were trying to sleep and the call button bell and light were lit up and no one bothered to go check out was was going on with that patient, it just kept going off. The administration is very hands off, could never find them, the medical staff other than the nurses and nursing asst. were never around and hard to get a hold off. Unfortunately its a place where you have to stay on top of them all the time. I don't feel my dad received the care he needed here. We had him moved somewhere else.
