This is the most unprofessional PT business. My MD referred me here because I needed a second round of PT for my neck and lower back. I used to go to this great place in DTLA but the parking situation was horrible and I had to pay $10 for parking every time I had an appt, but with the experience I've had at Manale I would pay that fee rather than deal with incompetent staff.

The first appt available was 2 months out once I got my referral. At my 1st appt the lady who did the eval was great and offered excellent patient care. Once I went to the front desk to schedule my f/u the incompetent receptionist was on her phone and did not notice I was standing there for a good while until I said excuse me. She said sorry and put her phone away. I schedule my appts she gives me a print out of all my appts and I leave. At my next appt I sign up and she tells me that I'm not booked at all and she has no appts for me under my name. I showed her a picture of the print out with the appts and apparently she gave me a print out of another patient and all bc she was distracted with her phone from that previous visit. So she proceeded to book my appts under my name. Today I go for one of the appts and she tells me there's no appt scheduled I showed her the print out & she said that she had given me a new print out the previously with my correct appts under my file name and she did not. After going back and forth I just threw in the towel and told her that every single time it's an issue with the scheduling and I've had to go twice and am not seen which is a huge waste of my time. So I told her I'm not coming back here.

The staff are always talking about personal stuff or their weekends very loudly over the patients and that's so unprofessional. There's this curly haired butter ball walking around that has such a fuchi face all the time and it makes you feel uncomfortable with how unfriendly she is. They just don't have the capacity to provide exceptional customer service and patient care so I'm going somewhere else and I suggest you do also.

The treatment from the team of rotating med students is amazing. They earnestly do their best and seem to care. The issue with Manale is all the other staff. I suspect poor management leads staff to behave poorly. Nearly every time I was there for treatment, staff were having personal convos over our heads while seated for treatment. I heard all about how unfair it is to not have casual Fridays anymore…more than once. Heard about personal relationships outside of work. Heard about issues they have with new policies. Didn’t hear much encouragement of the patients who are all in pain doing the PT exercises.

The one staff was even rude to my helper more than once. The first time because my helper used a tissue to clean the seat in the waiting room…because it was often trashy & dirty. And then the staff walked up with THE biggest attitude and handed my helper a trash can and told her to put her trash in there. Same staff then came at my helper on another day for not having a mask. Rather than offer her a mask, they kicked her out during my treatment. My helper was 4 months pregnant and they made her leave into the cold with nowhere else to go, as she was there waiting for me.

That kind of behavior is unacceptable at any establishment, especially at a medical facility. There is never any reason to be so rude to patients.

Furthermore, I do not feel comfortable interacting with such disrespectful staff.
