UNORGANIZED, UNPREPARED. The Ambulance was 12 hours late, the nurse was late and arrived an hour after the ambulance. The Ambulance drivers weren't sure how to hook up the oxygen tank, so my mom begging for air and could not breath, she passed out. I had to call 911, get her back to emergency to stabilize her so that she would be able to come home and die with her family. But that wasn't the case. She was so destabilized from this episode that she had to stay in the ER.
Hence, died where I promised her she would never die. It was a horrific experience, that I wouldn't want on anyone. My heart is broken.

Family “Daily joy” Day

Thank you to the staff at Bella Vida for helping my grandma be at home in comfort on her last days of her life .. Bella Vida provided my grandmother with all the equipment required to care for her at home the nurses came by every day and where all compassionate and caring the representative that set it up was amazing I don't have her business card with me but she was amazing .. every time we called the office with our questions and concerns they treated us as if we where their priority.., although I know they have several patients and families they tailor their care and attention as per patients and families needs . My grandmother has passed away and with the thanks to Bella Bida staff she died with dignity at home surrounded by her family .

The only reason I am giving this a one star is, so I can write this review. Other wise I would have given it a minus review. This has got to have been one of the worst experiences of my life. I am writing this review in hopes that no one else will be subject to this kind of tragedy. With a company that is paid by Med-cal and suppose to be there for our loved ones, to transition peacefully. I pray this does not go on deaf ears. I hope something is done about the travesty that was caused by this so called hospice company.

First I would like to complain about the behavior of the so called nurse Leticia. In the 2 weeks my sister went through hell, this woman came to the house all of 5 times, and spent no more then an hour with my sister. She was bossy, loud, pushy and didn't have any bedside manor. She discussed my sisters condition right in front of her and in the same breath would say, "you know she can hear everything you say".

We asked for mouth swabs for my sister, because her mouth was so dry and she couldn't drink or eat anymore. We asked for pads for the bedsores and after a day we went out and purchased them ourselves. Leticia said, she would order these items but it would take a few days. On the last day of my sisters life, Leticia came in to see my sister and finally had the swabs. She helped change my sister's soiled diaper and was on her way out, when I asked her to please check my sisters oxygen level. My sister had been in distress and struggling for over 2 days. Her oxygen level was at 71, but instead of ordering 24 hour care, she just increased her oxygen, by that evening my sister was in such distress we called for someone to come in to help us because we had no idea what to do. When this nurse arrived she checked my sisters oxygen level and it was at 53 which she then ordered the 24 hour care. This should have been done when Leticia was there that morning. My sister passed at 4:07 am that morning, less than 24 hours since Leticia had seen her. No doctor ever came in to check on my sister and the care she received from this so called hospice, was as if no one was there. The nurse at the end was kind and caring but was only there for a couple hours. There was no nurse there with us when my sister passed but thank God our family was. The nurse that arrived to clean my sister after passing, packed up everything in the bedroom taking things that we had purchased. At a time like this no one is concerned about anything but the loss of our loved one.

To top off the tragedy this family has gone through, it took the doctor from this facility almost 2 weeks to sign the death certificate, leaving my sister to lay at the mortuary all this time before being cremated.

I hope something is done about this and I am not stopping with this review. I intend to make a formal complaint to Med-Cal.

DONT contract this people they don’t tell you the truth they will supply you with everything but never tell me what I was signing for, practically was to stop my mother medication I never wanted it that they just let your loves ones die without their own medicine for the heart or diabetes instead they give you Morfín and anxiety medicine and strong medication to stop your heart slowly… very disappointed

I am so sad to say everything I was promised the first day was never met . Such difficult times for family members . Basically they supply you with everything and everything they promise you that you’re going to have a nurse there every day all the promises stop falling apart

No tengo sobre su servicio muy bueno sólo tengo un problema sobre los pañales el tipo de pañal ustedes envían para mi mamá no le sirven mucho porque como ella está todo el tiempo acostada no es absorbente se le sale mucho del pañal porque es pequeño aunque ella lo traen a su medida me gustaría si pudieran usar otro tipo de pañales para una persona que está todo el tiempo acostada es un poco difícil porque en vez de ser una ayuda tengo mucho más trabajo porque se moja toda y tengo que cambiar todo lo de la cama se los agradecería mucho muchas gracias pero muy buen servicio con toda el equipo que tienen de enfermeras muchas gracias
