Dr.Griffin has always been in my opinion, the best. I've always held him to a high standard and spoke highly of him. Unfortunately his receptionist (the older one behind the computer with a frown) is rude and very unpleasant to work with. Not helpful and unwelcoming. If you're needing a physical + tb test be ready to hear a whopping total of $260 for both to be done there. The price was the least of my concerns at that point. I will never return for services as long as that lady works there.

I went in here for a urine screen test and Tb Skin test. The waiting room is very clean and organized with magazines. The exam rooms and bathrooms are very clean. The nurse that attended me with the urine screen test and Tb Skin test wasn’t really friendly. I felt that she would rush me and she would give off unwelcoming vibes. The front desk ladies should be a little more friendly. But I really appreciate that the doctor was polite with me. I went in two days later to know about my Tb Skin test results and the nurse that attend me was very friendly with me. I might consider making this my primary care choice later on.

I had a urine drug screen. I was relieved once I was called in since I had to go pee. I told the provider I had to go and she replied saying "it's not that easy you have to fill out paperwork" I only had to sign and initial a couple of things. She then gave me instructions on what to do but her tone and body language was making me feel judged. Once I went to the restroom to pee I did end up having to go bathroom and she started knocking on the door. I told her what was going on and she replied, "oh I see" she then took the urine sample and I asked to wash my hands. She told me i could not wash my hands yet. She as well told me my urine was not making temperature so she put it in another cup and had me follow her out into the nurse station. She rudely told me"the paper says you have to watch me handle your urine" mind you I was never informed of this and she still did not let me wash my hands. She as well said you cant come back here cause I have other patients information. I was very confused since she told me to follow her and watch her handle my urine. She then started talking to me too more rudely saying "the temperature was not met and you have to wait two hours before you urinate again. If you leave the waiting I'm going to call your job and tell them you refused" after she said all this she was looking at me with a not so polite facial expression. This whole time I made sure to keep it professional and stayed calm. Whether she felt to judge me or not that is no way to talk to a patient. Very unprofessional. She then gave me two cups of water and while handing me the water realized and finally let me wash my hands. She as well gossiped to the other nurse who had to observe me pee in the cup. This nurse was as well judging me when she took my sample. I do not appreciate at all how unprofessional these two employees handled the situation. Definitely recommend a training of how to not stigmatize patients.

Only reason I give a two star is because the PA Don is amazing and very helpful, however the staff in the front have always seemed lazy for most part and are horrible with communication. All the comments you read about the staff is true and the only reason they have a job is because of the patients that come to the office for help so you’d think they would be a bit more respectful. One of the comments I read, said the ladies started badmouthing and talking about the patient and I’ve heard that too myself. There is a law against discussing a patients medical information with others within a doctor office so how does anybody let this happen? It is very degrading and makes patients uncomfortable. Unfortunately this is the only option of place to go to if you live in Coalinga for most people so I hope things change for the better. There is a nice lady that works in the back that has been very nice and helpful every time I’ve went in for a visit for the past 10-15 years, the rest of the staff could learn a thing or two from her.

I have been going to this clinic since they opened over two decades ago. I have received prompt and effective care. Dr. Griffin pinpointed some rather big health issues and put me on the road to recovery and the ability to deal with and manage chronic illness. Although it is sometimes difficult to get an appointment as quickly as one might want, the providers in the group are caring and thorough.

I was sent here to have a drug screen urinalysis done and it so happened that the office was closed for lunch and didn't reopen until 2 hours later! Once they did open at 1:30pm and I was inside, I signed in and was only 2nd in line on the wait list. After 45 minutes of not being called back, while 5 people who came in after me where, I approached the medical desk only to be told those people had appointments and I didn't. So was I supposed to wait for the whole office to clear out before getting called back in? I waited a bit more but then had to use the restroom but only to be told I wasn't allowed to use the restroom since I was there for a drug screening test. At this point, After waiting almost a total of 3 hours, I realized this office was being poorly managed and I left to go find a restroom somewhere else. A urinalysis takes 5 minutes and for them to have me wait while everyone else was getting seen was a bit ridiculous, especially if they weren't going to allow me to use their restroom. Plus what kind of facility is closed 2 hours during the peak busiest hours for lunch break? All in all a poorly managed facility and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Called for assistance with vaccinations and making an appointment for them. I unfortunately reached the line of an impatient ear. As someone who has never visited I was expecting a simple answer to my questions but I was repeatedly asked questions I didn’t know the answer too, “Who is your provider?” Insurance provider? Cell phone provider? Who was this provider I was being asked about? After telling her I had never been there she realized I was not a regular so she begrudgingly told me they were not taking new patients and that was that. Weird experience.
