If I could rate zero stars I would have. I have had issues dealing with the directory for a total of 8 weeks now. I started my profile to transfer over my HCA from BC to AB and thought I had everything done and ready to go. I decided to do a check in call after 6 weeks as I thought I would have at least received something saying that my application was under review. I was told I had to redo my file as they waited too long to open emails and they expired (from the college and BC ministry) . At my expense, I had to pay to resend transcripts, and syllabus' and was reassured that everything had been provided and given a number for my file. Then was contacted 2 weeks later, saying that my English proficiency needed further proving and that I could send my high school transcripts (which I had already sent). Paid to send them again. Sent an email confirming the password and that they were sent. Received an email asking if that was for sure the right password, to which I replied maybe I had misspelled it (giving the benefit of the doubt). I contacted the ministry after this and confirmed that the right password had in fact been sent, that the person had entered it in incorrectly 3 times. I had to pay to send yet another copy because after 3 guesses, it locks out. Finally this has gone through and I am sent another email asking to complete the rest of my file with attachments of the 3 requirements, saying I did not pay the $300 fee or submit my grades and syllabus from the college I attended. I replied with the number I was given and asked for someone to contact me as I had completed everything and would like to know why I am being asked for the same things over and over, as it costs me money every single time I have transcripts sent. They then replied saying that I did not have grade 10 on my high school transcripts, to which I again asked for a manager this time to call me as this was sent from the BC ministry and was told from them it was correct. The same woman I was emailing with called me and was extremely rude. I went over the 5 years of English speaking proficiency I had between the years of high school and the years at a postsecondary school and asked what else I could do to prove my English, even volunteering to write a test, to which she replied she was closing my account, withdrawing my application and refunding my application money (which did not get fully refunded). I asked her what I was supposed to do and she told me to use my English skills to do some research to find out another way to get licensing in AB, laughed and rudely said good luck because you can't, and hung up. Within 3 minutes I had a partial refund for the fee and a withdrawn confirmation. I did not consent to have my application withdrawn.
Unfortunately, none of the emails are signed and she did not give me her name when she phoned. After everything I have read on the reviews, I am assuming that this has been done on purpose so that she cannot get in trouble by name.

We, the Students of the AHCS would like to petition to your good office to please reconsider and do a thorough investigation with regards to the suspension of Maria Rivera’s license and to give her chance to be heard of as it is everyone’s right here in Canada (The Right To Equality).

I have been blessed to be one of her students before this happened. She is one of the best instructor that I’ve encounter , who’s very helpful and is willing to listen to everyone even if it’s personal matters.

Good bless you.
